Hi, everyone,
I'm an occasional sufferer. Never really sure what triggers it apart from green lipped mussels last time but one. My story concerns a bout that has just ended.
Woke up three days ago (a Friday ... why does gout always hit for the weekend?) with the symptoms rampant!
Only unusual consumption: three small pork pies, two scotch eggs, two not quite ripe tomatoes( I eat heaps of ripe ones ... these were about as ripe as the supermarkets sell) ...not all at the same time, I hasten to add.
Faced with a weekend of pain and then, on Monday, the doc's prescription of Colchesis (very poisonous and damaging to the immune system! ... hate to take it) – no other remedies seem to fix it for me. I went into 'let the spirit take you' mode. There hanging in the kitchen were some dried dandelion leaves and on the kitchen table a big drum of omega3 capsules. Something said try dandelion tea, then take an omega3 every three hours. Certainly wouldn't hurt me, so that's what i did! Twelve hours later the pain is completely clear!!!
Almost alway have to wait three days at least, even with colchesis.
So there, for what it's worth, is my new approach.
I don't know which did it, or whether the combo is necessary ... maybe I'll try some mussels and do a test!
Dandelion tea
Crumple 5 or six leaves into the teapot and fill up with boiling water. Leave to infuse for say 5 minutes. Drink a cupful hot or cold, whenever.
The Omega3
Thompsons 1000 mg Omega3 fish oil
