Hi Tommy

Yes the pain does go away , I know you probably feel like cutting your foot off just now , but it does get better .

I found Vitamin C to be a big help , I take 1000mg every day but when I had my last atttack i took 3000mg spread over the day , it shifted the gout fairly quick .

good luck

There are many home remedies for gout, including baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and consuming a good quantity of cherries. As Jeem has pointed out, Vitamin C is really good too, and there have been recent studies done that show there is a very real benefit for gout sufferers.

Don't despair. Take positive steps towards reducing your uric acid levels and you don't need to put up with the gout for extended periods. You've got to do something about it because if you don't then the attacks will become more frequent and last for longer (I'm speaking from personal experience!)

All the best. Make sure you learn as much as you can about managing gout yourself, rather than purely relying on medication
