The last two days I have been studying about gout. After studying the information out there I found out this is going to be a nightmare for me.

I know the gout is a nightmare too!!!

But I was looking at the diet, Low purine foods and High purine foods. Alkaline or acidy.

I was looking at the High purine food list," If you look at this list this is my diet." I was looking at the low purine list, Oh MY HOW AM I GOING TO SURVIVE !!! I ate just a salad for lunch today. I say it again" HOW AM I GOING TO SURVIVE!!! "

Everything I like to eat is " HIGH PURINE" Really going to be a transformation to eat like a rabbit. I just rather eat the rabbit will that count as low purine since the rabbit eats veggies? I did quit beer or alcohol drinking 2 yrs ago because of gout.

I don't want gout pain for the rest of my life but I really don't want to eat like a rabbit the rest of my life neither.

I am going to try to balance my diet and alkalize my body. Does any body have a club like the AAA for gout sufferers? GPA gout pain anonymous. Well I'm going to try some baking soda mix in lime juice and start a new life !!!!

P.S. Did I mention I was just given a quarter of a beef. ( FRESH RED MEAT)

I understand your pain!!
When I looked into foods high in purines, I thought I was going to starve to death!
What I have learnt is that you need to take a a steady approach.
You need to eliminate one thing at a time from the "high purine" list. Don't take a scatter gun approach because you won't know what has worked and what has not.
An example, I can drink alcohol and not suffer gout. But if I eat shellfish, I'm climbing the walls the next day!
So if you take a systematic approach you may not have to eliminate ALL foods high in purines.
Once you work out the things that aggrevate your gout there will be some of the "good things in life" left on that list to enjoy.
