Hey Guys,
I am 30 years old and was getting chronic gout attacks TWICE a month. After trying apple cider vinegar, to cherry juice to no avail, I finally decided to try something revolutionary. I lost weight. I was 230lbs on a 5'10 frame, and was extremly overweight. I ended up losing 30 lbs of fat, and putting on a great deal of muscle.
For the last 6 months, i have been gout free! I eat pretty much what i want as well. i still avoid drinking, but that is mroe of a life style issue.

That's great news!
I've been trying to tell people to do just that! Drop the weight and drop the gout!
Good on you my friend.

Same here. I am 26 and have had gout for about 4 years, but recently in the last 6 months officially diagnosed. I woke up almost once every 2 months with the most terrible of pains in my feet and ankles and sometimes even my achilles tendon (the worst). It'd last for almost 2 or 3 weeks, and I never knew the reason. I could not take it and finally got diagnosed with gout. I was given medicine, colcrys and allipurinol, which made me very sick and almost as miserable as the gout. I am a very active person, and I have played sports all my life. I finally decided enough was enough. I did a juice fast that lasted for 14 days, took baking soda as recommended on here to cancel out my gout attacks, and now have not had an attack for about 6 months. I've dropped 30 pounds in this time period. I wasn't significantly overweight before, but now I'm definitely in the best shape I've been in. So, for those out there who say they can't, you can. Trust me, I know how terrible the pain is and how miserable it can be. However, it can be cured. Have the willpower to do a fast, change your eating habits, and get active! I work out 6 days a week, if not 7, and I have no side effects relating to gout. I have actually lowered my uric acid levels down to where they aren't even in "gout range". So, there's a success story for everyone to get motivated and kick gout in the butt!

I haven't had a gout attack for over 6 months also, but I haven't lost no weight, I need to though. I just don't over eat on the foods I'm not suppose to eat. I quit drinking also. I am on no gout meds

I have heard that rapid weight loss can actually trigger a flare up.

Forget, purine rich foods, forget meat, forget fish, forget alcohol, being the cause of your gout. The real culprit as I
found out after years of testing is FRUCTOSE.Try and reduce or eliminate that and your gout problems will be over.
You will be grateful to me for giving you this information.your doctors might disagree but what do you have to lose,
trying it for a couple of weeks. For me it worked wonders, after suffering from gout for more than 10 years.
