Hi there,

My Husband has had reocurring attacks of gout for the last six months, he had blood tests done and his uric acid levels came back highest our GP has ever seen in a patient. He was prescribed a course of steroids for a week and is now slowly introducing alopurinol and Colchoyen (sp?) into his system. My question is can gout be seen with an ultrasound exam as we don't know how bad a case of gout he has as the steroids did not make him completely pain free like our GP said it would.

Would really value any feedback from other sufferers / people in the know as the internet gives mixed messages and our GP says there is no way gout can be seen via ultrasound.

Thankyou in anticipation of your feedback :0)
