Allopurinol rash

I am considering going to my GP to ask to be prescribed allopurinol. I have just had another gout attach , my second in as many months !!! I hadntr had an attack for 18 months before that ... cant poinpoint what triggers the attacks.

I see there is a side effect... a rash , can anyone confirm what sorrt of rash it is ?

any swelling to face,throat,lips or a reddish rash anywhere on the body should be addressed immediately.additionally any rash no matter how minor even more so with a fever should be addressed.allopurinol can have many potential side effects like most drugs,why dont you google allo side effects and learn more.the drug has been in use for a long time and these side effects occur in a small majority of patients.maybe you are having attacks due to a high uric acid level,this is the number one trigger.get your levels checked.good luck.
